Obama appears thin-skinned to you? Funny how that works. Compared to Bush he appears unflappable to me. Bush was an incredibly insecure dude who surrounded himself with Yes Men and kept hostile reporters out of the White House Press Corp. Funny how we see things differently isn't it?

Obama seems so imperturbable as to come across as cold and distant.

It's funny how we always want to see our adversary as being weak, whether or not it's the case.

Tinker, don't forget, all the redistricting happens in the next year. Who runs the state government determines where the district lines are drawn. So that's something that will matter in 2012, when the new districts will be in effect all over the country. Happens every ten years.

Countries function best, if you will, when they have good ideas and make decisions. Studying how that is done is the key, not simply "engagement". Engaged people doing stupid wrong things is bad.
