Yeah the whole "I didn't know about it" is an insult to intelligence, he should say he screwed up and now finds his publishing such crap a regretable mistake and that he finds nothing acceptable in the ideas presented.

It still does leave me slightly cold that he found this crap fit to publish.

Not wanting to go Godwin but it went through my mind, did anybody read 'mein kampf' before voting?

If he comes out and says the ideas are crap, it's ok, 'disavowing' is not enough.

I cannot find the material, but my recollection is that Ron Paul has said that he will speak in front of any group that requests him, be they pedophiles or whatever. His rationalization is that one can never fully vet a group for their scurrilous past so he doesn't differentiate and just looks at it as on opportunity to spread his message.

Additionally, Ron Paul generally votes against every budget but once appropriations begin hogs as many dollars for his district as he can. I find that hilarious.

RP is a different kind of cat. Take it or leave it I guess.

As for the political ramifications getting into this in any depth just brings up Reverend Wright again so I think the MSM types will be cautious. But they may be clueless enough and try anyway so could be fun.
