Racism is mostly the subconscious effect of the selfish gene... We are programmed to transmit our genes or the most similar to our genes. Fortunately this genetic tendency can be overcome by good memes. I have two mixed race daughters and have often their friends (of all colours) in our house. They often joke about race, but never in any negative way.

You deserve a better response, but in line with old things coming to an end, I'll just say that in the main you are not wrong. Further, I expect that Obamas election may have sorted out an item or two about automatic racism charges, but it will probably always persist in one way or another.
