Mr. Perfect The Cold Warriors were the bad guys, regardless of which side they were on. No one removed more freedom from America than Cold Warriors.

And the notion of the 'polyanna nice guy' foreign policy of Obama is a complete and total fantasy. He's more ruthless than Bush ever was. He's much, much, much more effective at killing than his predecessor. It's the difference between the drunk that starts throwing haymakers and the guy who holds back and just takes one shot but lands it on the throat. Live in your fantasy world. Your infantile notion of politics isn't even interesting as a foil anymore, I feel like I wasted much of my life arguing with someone who is so clearly out of touch with reality as yourself. You just have no clue what's going on and treat politics like it's a comic book. You think the Republicans are the Justice League or something. It's pathetic.

Well it's a relative study, the left would have handed us over to the Communists, which represented a total loss of freedom. The Cold Warriors were bad guys to the Communists, this we know.

Actually, the crisis we are in right now is the Cold Warriors losing. It's funny the blind spot some people have. We are falling because of the precise same thing that the USSR fell from. When it was the USSR, the causes were clear as day. Even though the circumstances are more or less the same, we can't afford our welfare state and profligate military, people still think we won the Cold War. We didn't win, we just lost on a longer timeline than the USSR. But make no mistake, it destroyed both nations.

We became a totalitarian police state many years ago as a result of the Cold War.

J. Edgar Hoover and Bill Casey, they were evil men, treasonous traitorous men who destroyed the Republic.

Blaming the Cold Warriors is pretty easy since they arrested, deported, spied on, intimidated and murdered anyone who wasn't with the program. The rest were easily bought with TV commercials and useless nuclear drills.

Most of America was for it because they were sold a steady diet of lies and fear. The War on Terror is just the propaganda fear campaign, it's the same, it's the Cold War still. The Cold War wasn't against the Soviet Union, it was against the American people, it was against freedom. Give up freedom and power to us, or else the communists will murder you in your sleep!

The Cold War was the US fooling Joe and the USSR fooling Yuri. Both sides warmongers used the other side's warmongering as the excuse to cede more domestic power to the authoritarian warmongers on domestic soil.

We are being beaten in the streets by our police and spied on by military hardware. That's the legacy of the Cold War that we supposedly 'won'.
