i can purchase all sorts of different drinks with and without sugar from a multitude of vendors, you should stop supporting your local servo if they dont stock brands you want.

if you get real keen you can grow a lemon tree and make your own cordials using organic honey and avoid processed chemicals entirely, nothing todo with cca, everything todo with your priorities and motivation.

everyone that sold their small business to coke wanted to do so because they could retire to the good life with the profit, they had no obligation to make sugar drinks you personally approve of.

It's also why Tinker keeps insisting that everyone who disagrees with his goals "doesn't get it."

Because for all his talk of heterarchy and gift-economies, what he is actually advocating is a collapse of uncertainty and concealment. And in order to do that, you can't recognize any outsiders. They can't even maintain a foreigner or servant status. Though I know he doesn't intend it this way but I can't perceive how the OWS solutions allow for people who do not buy into their system- anyone who doesn't doesn't have any status or power are effectively non-people. A group of Tinkers will not be a problem even with this conclusion, but a group of Tamerlaine's will. After all, we know historically how people treat others who do not have status. And anyone associated with a message board can see this type of society. (Especially a less...intelligent one than this...can see the germinating of such a society where power is heterarchial and people-participation is non-spatial/non-temporal) This is a real worry.

The excellent point he does make is the lessening (or elimination in some cases) of scarcity. This certainly change things.
