A very moving story of compassion and redemption. Perhaps there are far more possibilities for second chances for reclamation not just for dogs but for each other as well.

Having a bigger heart may seem insane to many, but no one ever said that true goodness had to be sensible.

we have a simmilar thing playing out in australia with the large terriers like pig dogs due to owners with no clue doing no training or socialising and the dog biting someone.
the calls for the breed to be banned are getting louder and louder and it makes me worried for my staffy blue heeler mongrel which looks like one.

its a sad thing with no easy answer...

Noddy is right, Australian Cattle dogs are very impressive animals.

They say it is impossible to herd cats.

Here is a couple pictures of our dog Tasha, who is an Australian Cattle Dog/Basenji mix, herding our two of our cats....

or at least I think thats what Tasha thinks she is doing.......

The cultural aspect is relatively new in the U.S. The Lewis & Clark expedition ate about 9# of meat per person per day, and dog was their #1 preference followed by beaver tail and bison hump a distant third.

They would only eat deer when absolutely necessary.
