the quite often wasted and thrill seeking 20yr old version of me wasnt particularly worried about other peoples problems.

the more elderly version of me is a tad more aware than this previous version, i now make decisions on if its a tough love moment or a more empathetic moment based on context.

I've seen Hugh White speak, he knows what he is talking about.

America is acting as the Mafia does, demanding protection money for the resultant increase in 'Strategic stress' caused by their escalation, at least with the Mafia they don't escalate the stress after you have paid.
