Explaining Socialism to a Republican

The canary didn't die because this mine is dangerous, it died because it's lazy and wasn't raised with a proper work ethic.

Well like you say, no difference between a Republican and Democrat.

No wonder you guys got so teabagged last time. More coming. :P

I thought of starting a thread, "explaining financial topics to a fleabagger" but gave up because that would be impossible. :P

putting out a house fire doesnt have the diversity of opinion about (a) its need to happen and (b) the methods used when compared to issues like lifestyle and education and so forth.

this article only makes sense if everyone agreed with the author about all the little details, we dont, and thusly his definition of sharing is quite likely to cross boundaries into my definition of theft.

i wish people would stop using european socialism as an example (its a constant in australian politics) .. europe is screwed with debt and unrealistic expectations, its not the place to be looking for the future, id be looking more closely at asia and how it handles the move from self suffcient adults to dependant semi slaves.

having said all that, i cant stand the corporate socialism, so the cartoon is on the money.

Blah blah blah.

You'll se the real socialists in two weeks, when we breach the debt ceiling again, and the Supercomittee's cooperation yields all the firm resolve of a wet fart. Then come the automatic cuts.

I'm buying popcorn and putting a rush on that upper assembly.
Don't know what it is, but I'm agin'it.

in australia we pay tax to the MIC to keep our soldiers in middle eastern wars so we get cheap fuel and we also pay carbon tax to make cheap fuel more expensive and then use that to pay for the poor.

dont go looking for logic, it will hurtz.

I always like when Tinker does Law Enforcement = Socialism. I get a chuckle every time. Oh, and socialism doesn't really exist except if it does it is false binary choice, etc. Also Republicans expand the welfare state while seeking Draconian budget cuts that kill people, and so forth.
