I have heard a compelling argument that the reintroduction of Glass-Steagall is not what is needed. What is needed is regulators who have no perverse incentives to side with those they are regulating.

Azari Glenn Beck is trying to incite partisan hatred. I think he's hoping that one of his more unstable listeners will go and do some damage and cause a riot so that he can say, "See I told (incited) you so."

As to 'making an example' of Obama, that would be an object lesson to..... whom? The example of the few is to serve as instruction for the many and the object of taking down an Iago such as Barak, is to take him down. Which will probably happen anyway......

But we see many of the little people taking haircuts on their mortgages and running up their debt, and they are still doing better than the banks, if we are ; and the hopes, aspirations and dreams of many of them are reflected in the habits and attitudes of that one per-cent and not in teh Obamn......

Actually, what is happening is different from old s school organizing in fundamental ways. People there see the coming collapse and are talking about how to organize.

For the folks in the nosebleed seats: this is that ruthless generation of which Alph spoke. These kids will dismantle all your systems and retool them like rearranging Legos. The Earth has not met such disciples of chaos, has never seen such a concentration of rootless power. You see spoiled kids, you don't see that in very real ways they mimic old school sociopathy, if I may borrow a prejudicial term. They are little fixed to institutions and prone to scattering the checkers game to build a Death Star. This will be relevant.
