The autumn is here and it needs the right kind of music.

Lyrics:

Emotie de toamnă
by

într-o dragoste mare.

Autumn emotion

The autumn is here, cover my heart with something
with the shadow of a tree or, better still, with your shadow.

Sometimes I fear I'll never see you again
that I will grow pointed wings that reach the clouds
that you will hide inside a foreign eye
and that it will close with a wormwood leaf.

And then I get close to the stones and fall silent,
I take the words and drown them in the sea.
I whistle the moon and raise in it the sky and turn it
into a huge love.

(my own translation, trying to stay as close as possible to the Romanian original, sorry if it sounds bad)
Humanity ought to be the first order of interest for humans.

Sorry, it's going to be ninety degrees F here today. I can't listen to fall music yet ( there is a relevant Federal code, I am certain ).

Do you have any music that says, " It's still so hot I can cook things in my underwear" ?
Don't know what it is, but I'm agin'it.

I heard this duet of Romanian Opera Singers do 'We Are the Champions', in Central Park. Tall blonde bombshell and her very good looking male accompanyist. They both had very powerful voices.

It looks like someone from California made this (El Camino Real High School). Worth a look . . . for a variety of reasons.

The annual here takes place soon. My hope that Youtube would have something played on the big was cruelly dashed, but here's some Bach played on the Ahrend organ at U of C:

Christina Hutten performs Bach, BWV542, Calgary Organ Festival and Symposium, 2010

A twangy tribute to women who are supremely hot when they're hot under the collar:

Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats

John Anderson - Straight Tequila Night

And for good measure:

Patty Loveless - I'm That Kind of Girl

Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.
