I really don't see Civil War coming to the US. The next great tribulation the US will face is a Mexican insurgency.
The canary didn't die because this mine is dangerous, it died because it's lazy and wasn't raised with a proper work ethic.

Che Guevara [S America]
Symbionese Liberation Army [USA]
of the 1970's
and last but not least the
those self-styled trailer park patriots in
in fomenting armed rebellion.
After three decades of debt fueled prosperity most people have forgotten how much the 70's in the West sucked compared to today. Besides disco.

It's the lone gunman so to speak, that we must be concerned about. I think right-wing militias are generally dealt with as gangs by RICO. It's the men like James Cummings that really are the worry.
