The real rate of taxation levels off at about 20%. We've been running at 15% recently.

His re-election is now irrelevant. He can't get anything he wants unless he has near record majorities. The only people who can really concern themselves with that are pure partisans. I don't even care that much, the electorate does weird things, what matters is that ideas and policies are defeated. Obama is happy to sign my policies so if he wants to stay in that's not so bad.

it will be interesting for sure if the gop does actually push for more free market and doesnt just talk about it and consolidate corporate interests - the worlds largest socio economic experiment done in my lifetime and ive got backrow seats with a handy fire escape.
