1) Congrats on putting America back on the road to isolationism. Not how I would have done it, but whatever. Good luck with the job riots.

2) You just authorized over $2 trillion in paper to be issued by the Fed. The markets will not thank you. That damage has been done. Not fatal, but another increment, in effect a QE3 .

3) There was no clear win here. To default meant fears brought to the fore now, to deal was to kick the can.

4) Fear and hype worked in your favor. Obama couldn't go hardcore and veto anything when he just told the world it would all end if a deal wasn't made.

5) I hope you get everything you wish for, and that it actually turns out like you want.

Thanks for pointing that out. I overlooked so many things. You must understand I am rather emotional right now. I have been dreaming of this day, working toward it most of my adult life. So many people buckled to the pressure over the years, but many of us stayed rigid, like Boner. I'm ashamed of many of the people who gave up. Ashamed of them.

You see, it doesn't matter what is in this. What matters is that the GOP cut spending when they didn't have to. They cut spending for no other reason than it was the right thing to do. Because they said they would. To keep a promise. To do what's right. They did it on principle. Not because they had to, but because as a group of people we said this is wrong and it has to change, and we're willing to put our sacred honor on the line. And we prevailed. And I use the word "we" because there are a lot of you who can never claim you had anything to do with it, and that will be known.

Now the spending cut may be 1 trillion, 2 trllion, 2.2 trillion, 1.5 trillion, doesn't matter. We proved that we could do it. So that means we can keep doing it.

We changed America. We proved that the GOP will cut spending, that America will cut spending, that we can govern ourselves not matter what trials beset us. That we will do the hard thing when it is the right thing. Like we have done before. God Bless Republicans everywhere.

Who will say Demopublican now? Just Democrats who are ashamed of themselves.

This deal will allow the Ron Pauls, the Limbows of the world to say the deal isn't enough. It will maintain the pressure of the Tea Party on the congress, while liberalism fades into obscurity. Your throat is being cut by a blade you can't even see.

The debate now is not should we cut, but how much. A great victory for freedom loving people who resist central planning. Except for the people on the sidelines who still piss me off real good.
