I meant embracing some variation of leftism out if some sense of having found a superior thought and methodology. Not identity- driven in the sense that the right is, but that hyperintellecual, effete corps that the left contains. Cardigans instead of bell bottoms, but not dissimilar goals. There was a wide range of young left that became new right( well, sorta).

In this instance, the LCD is variation on a theme. On the right, just do either the"Pro-life shuffle" with a " Mama Grizzly" waltz. On the left, the " moral high ground minuet" and the " hope and change hustle" are perennial favorites.

As long as you ignore the bankers going counter clockwise in the mosh pit, wearing the steel toes and the MMA gloves, mouthpieces in place.

I believe in Democracy in a real and pure sense. Each of us has a certain amount of will, will bestowed for free in a sense. How we devote that will determines what our world looks like. We have power to the degree that we have it, and some small will is not nothing even if it is smaller than that of another.

When Barack Obama ran, I decided I wouldn't vote cynically, I would give him the benefit of the doubt. He is something of a disappointment, but not really a surprise. I have since decided that I won't vote cynically again, because I value my will in that sense. I would rather lose but stand for what I believe, even if I don't express these feelings out loud. So I will not again vote for someone I feel to be a bad man, even if he mouths the right ideological platitudes.

But perhaps I rightly or wrongly place a high value on my will. I have seen many things I have wanted come to pass in my life, in arenas that are larger than myself.

I suppose I take a theurgic, rather than thaumaturgic view on the electoral process. I campaign for men knowing that they will be corrupted by the process, but hoping that perhaps they will remain less corrupt than that which they replace.

In all things we must strive for that which is righteous. Even if righteousness appears in short supply.

The bankers may have more power, but your power is still meaningful. This is a very Zen way of fighting.

I believe men's will creates systems, systems infested by demons which are nothing more than men's will, distilled, and applied mechanically( not to say in- humanely). The inputs of will required to effect this machine are beyond the ability of my vote to influence. I do not say the system is unable to be corrected and salvaged ( yet). I simply say that voting in elections and hoping it will yield an outcome to which I have pinned hopes is foolish. There were no candidates that were not objectionable to me.

Scott was the most objectionable. He was also the most popular. In this case, voting for and with a power block was the best way I had to inflict harm upon them. I truly believe the FL GOP is it's own worst enemy, as the worst thing that could happen to them is for them to get their way. The fact that the people support such men, with no dissembling and no qualification due to a simple yea or nay vote on the man brooking no discussion; for those reasons and more, I hit the kill switch. Call it assisted suicide.
