These chatlogs are really fascinating, particularly the part about education. It seems like America is actually seeing a lot of talent go to waste because it is unable to assimilate gifted bright young people into the curriculum. When reading this I was sort of sad to hear about these two very bright young men not having the opportunity to really cultivate that in an educational environment. I can relate. It's a story of so many people I know. Most smart people I speak to talk about 'gaming' school. They view it as a rat in a maze and they engage in the proper reward activities in order to appear like they actually give a shit.

I'm sorry, you guys are commies. The US is number one and staying there. We just spent a comparatively paltry sum putting all our textbooks on tablet computers, creating cloud processing and wifi spots in the schools.

Right, that's of a piece. When we institute widespread teach-to-the-test with a gun to your head type environment, libertarian understandings of human behavior predicts that among those for whom the forest simply does not exist( true demand for education is nonexistent in most inner city schools), a certain perverted usage of the trees will occur. Gaming the system, if you will. This story is a perfect example of cookie cutter education failing students. Just like it did for Manning and now going on two generations of kids.

Mine too. The education establishment certainly failed me, vowed not to let that happen to the next generation. One of the things that radicalized me to the GOP at an early age.

And be careful, one of mine just finished Pre-Calc, my algebra fu is razor sharp at the moment. I can break down radicals like a mother right now, will see how long it lasts.

What is happening in Atlanta is probably worse than the Tuskegee Experiment, but the official response will be "we must try harder to make the system work". Sad. Tragic. The US public school system is it's own trail of tears.

Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, Your moral values can't be taught, according to the state. You read about the current "news" in a very biased press, You pay a tax you do not owe, to please the IRS.

Your money is no longer made of silver or of gold, You trade your wealth for paper, so life can be controlled. .

You've given government control to those who do you harm, So they can padlock churches, and steal the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt, put men of God in jail, Harass your fellow countryman while corrupted courts prevail.

Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oath they're sworn, Your daughters visit doctors so children won't be born. Your leaders ship artillery and guns to foreign shores, And send your sons to slaughter, fighting other people's wars.

Can you regain your Freedom for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage, or the faith to stand with pride? Are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children live in fear and be a slave?

Sons of the Republic, arise and take a stand! Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land! Preserve our Republic, and each God-given right! And pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright!
