Apparently you have never heard of the term 'Mutually Assured Destruction'. To kill all of the Chinese we'd do so much damage that it would kill everyone on Earth. Not to mention that they would hit us back as well wiping us all out. So the apocalypse would go China, North America in a bright flash, everyone else dies in a nuclear winter.

I can say unequivocally and unabashedly that I do not respect your point of view and think that you should be kept from power at every opportunity. You are the same as a Nazi, straight up. Like in the real thing that makes someone a Nazi, the desire to murder a whole entire other race, and not some hokey comparison to health insurance policy.

Yes, anyone who wants to know anything about the Cold War and that era should probably focus their sights on LeMay, Curtis; Wohlstetter, Albert; Kahn, Herman; McNamara, Robert. Understanding how Wohlstetter and McNamara basically saved civilization from LeMay and Kahn is I think absolutely necessary. Hell, even if you disagree with me and think that Kahn and LeMay should have won that argument it's still essential to understanding that period.

Re: Soldiers of Reason (History of the Rand corporation written by someone who had unprecedented access to their files) I must confess that I came away with an appreciation and admiration for the most elite of elite think tanks after reading that book. I am thoroughly convinced that Albert Wohlstetter was the greatest hero of the Cold War.

The Neo-Cons have been called many things but ultimately I think that trying to be Albert Wohlstetter kind of did a lot of it in. Perle, Wolfowitz, Rice, they ALL studied DIRECTLY under Albert Wohlstetter at University of Chicago at one point or another.
