I know people who refuse to be hospitalized. They believe that extraordinary life-saving techniques are playing God. If prayer doesn't heal them, they are eager to be on their way.
That said, I'm sure they would be equally against assisted suicide.

I would not characterize it the same way CM is doing , but he is on to something that touches on a number of elements of domestic policy. America was at one time a Christian nation , not by law but by temperament. It is inevitable that the laws of a place should take on at least some aspects of the faith of the people. It still does , but the faith isn't Christian.
