Well Christians everywhere are guilty of political intrigue, that's just normal human behavior. But in the case of the Romans, a lot of the conversion occurred as a result of an act of state and not a genuine revelation and alteration of faith on a personal level. But I did acknowledge the Roman Empire, and recognized it as anomalous.
The canary didn't die because this mine is dangerous, it died because it's lazy and wasn't raised with a proper work ethic.
