Never criticize anyone until you've walked several kilometres in their shoes.
Because

1. You're now several kilometres away; and

2. You've got their shoes.

Thanks for the welcome Colonel Sun, nice shot of the Carp.

Unfortunately I cannot read your linked Dosimetry map, do you have an English version link?

I131 and Cs137 levels from the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization station at

The red dotted line indicates the highest daily amount in Germany (May 1, 1986 in Bavarian Forest) during the Chernobyl accident.

My calculations for the total release of I131 and Cs137 so far, were overblown, as I realise now that the data I used was from the first few days after the accident, when release levels were at their highest.

No doubt the 'nuke it' option is really bad, but this has to be contrasted against the dangers of having 4 Nuclear reactors in various states of criticality continually releasing plumes of radioactive gases, for how long?

The Nuclear industry has done a wonderful job of minimising any coverage of the ongoing plume being produced by Fukushima, so the plume slowly irradiates the Planet and people live in a fantasy land that Radiation is harmless.

America, supposedly home of the free, has seemingly very little coverage of the plume and yet they are the most likely to effected by it, after Japan. What gives? are Americans happy to be slowly irradiated or is the supposedly free press choosing to ignore the issue under suggestion from the Nuclear industry.

A handfull of papers that discuss Hormesis by definition mean it is a fringe idea.

"The scientific research base shows that there is no threshold of exposure below which low levels of ionizing radiation can be demonstrated to be harmless or beneficial. The health risks – particularly the development of solid cancers in organs – rise proportionally with exposure" says Richard R. Monson, associate dean for professional education and professor of epidemiology, Harvard School of Public Health, Boston.

“The radiation leak has not stopped completely and our concern is that it could eventually exceed Chernobyl,” an official from TEPCO, the power company which operates the reactors at the Fukushima site, told reporters on Tuesday.

From the World Nuclear, about Chernobyl: UNSCEAR says that apart from increased thyroid cancers, "there is no evidence of a major public health impact attributable to radiation exposure 20 years after the accident."

Dr. Burton Bennett, chairman of the Chernobyl Forum,, states "“This was a very serious accident with major health consequences, especially for thousands of workers exposed in the early days who received very high radiation doses, and for the thousands more stricken with thyroid cancer. by and large, however, we have not found profound negative health impacts to the rest of the population in surrounding areas, nor have we found widespread contamination that would continue to pose a substantial threat to human health, within a few exceptional, restricted areas.

So the UN and Nuclear industry is effectively claiming radioactive fallout is harmless, this reveals the level of bs that the UN and the Nuclear industry will sink to, in an effort to keep this dangerous practice alive.

Meanwhile Fukushima keeps boiling away releasing Radioactive steam.

Are you suggesting that the WHO is actively protecting the nuclear industry? Do you have anything at all to back up this wild assertion, aside from your completely unbiased interpretation of their statement re Chernobyl?

On 28 May 1959, at the 12th World Health Assembly, WHO drew up an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA); clause 12.40 of this agreement says: "Whenever either organisation [the WHO or the IAEA] proposes to initiate a programme or activity on a subject in which the other organisation has or may have a substantial interest, the first party shall consult the other with a view to adjusting the matter by mutual agreement."

The founding papers state: "The agency shall seek to accelerate and enlarge the contribution of atomic energy to peace, health and prosperity through the world."

I'd say the WHO's statement that Chernobyl's Radioactive plume produced no significant health issues and was practically harmless is pretty strong evidence of something peculiar going on, especially since they released their report in 2005, when the following was determined in 2004.

"A statistically determined correlation between radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl accident and an increase in the number of cases of cancer in the exposed areas in Sweden is reported in a study by scientists at Linköping University, Örebro University, and the County Council of Västernorrland County."

Sweden only recieved 5% of Caesium released from Chernobyl, so there is a large potential for rises in cancer rates due to Caesium in other countries.
