The wealthy will continue their mission of wealth extraction from the middle-class until the lower middle-class joins the poor. When the lower middle-class becomes the poor, they will take to the streets like in Wisconsin and Egypt. At that point Obama will claim that his hands are tied, that he MUST do something, and Cloward-Piven will go into effect. The crisis will not be wasted.

When Gen Y takes power, (When not if, many idiots don't understand that the young ALWAYS take power eventually) they will have done so after decades of dissatisfaction in a poor labor market, they will have watched the middle-class disappear as the entitlements that created the middle-class in the first place are stripped away.

The middle class became the middle class by working, not retiring. Medicare is going bankrupt no matter what you do, be design of the Democrat party. The only thing up for debate is whether the Democrats planned the bankruptcy on purpose or not. Next thing you know you'll be hawking death panels.
