I guess you haven't heard, the French have surrendered.

The United States welcomed a partial handover for the Libyan air campaign to NATO on Thursday, but the allies apparently balked at assuming full control and the U.S. military was left in charge of the brunt of combat.

The French have not "surrendered". Gadhafi's forces are still getting bombed.

The one who surrendered was Bush, who was willing to forget the Marines Gadhafi murdered and Pan Am Flight 103 so his big oil pals could make a buck.

Mr. Perfect, please explain the genius of Barack Obama's strategy here. When Syria goes up in flames, will that count as another separate war or can we count all this stuff as one big war?

Looks like the rebels have gained territory.

By the way, has anyone been as amused as I have watching Fox News lately? The tachometer on the Republican spin machine is dangerously in the red. One minute they're criticizing Obama for not taking action (eg., the slimy Newt Gingrich), and then they do a complete 180 when he masterfully pressures a coalition to take action for their own selfish interests under secret American guidance (a diplomatic master stroke). "Why aren't we invading Zimbabwe?" they ask sarcastically, apparently oblivious to the real-world constraints of prudence, feasibility, and relevance. Then another 90 degree turn when it becomes apparent that Obama has ingeniously delivered the "humble foreign policy" that the Repubs campaigned on in 2000: the French are in charge of a matter in their backyard? We should be in charge! Then, today, because of an apparent rift in the spin-lie continuum on Faux News, Newt Gingrich was actually taken to task and grilled about his blatantly contradictory statements over the last month. He said he was seriously worried about the fiscal condition of our military, whether it would be able to sustain such an intervention given our other engagements. Gee, Newt, maybe it's a good thing after all that we've tried to off-load as much of this as possible onto the French and British.

Man, what a bunch of losers.

When all is said and done, we'll remember who didn't believe the Egyptian protests would lead to anything and then doubled-down on being wrong when the movement spread. We'll also remember the blatant Republican flip-flopping (when Fox News has to address it, you know it's bad) and unpatriotic political maneuvering. And we'll certainly know who not to listen to regarding foreign policy.

Even you could own CM on this one Tinker, pretending to be a Republican.

CM's descent into anti-intellectualism is alarming even to me.

Looks like someone busted the locks on the neocon funny farm.

I'm not the one applauding the establishment of a military dictatorship in Egypt while simultaneously trying to overthrow a tin pot dictator unsuccessfully with Perle, Wolfowitz, Rove, Cheney approved air strikes.

Sorry, your anti-intellectual neocon carnival isn't getting many laughs.

Hey CM, Az, other neocons, the rebels don't even think you're helping them out!

The 10 year younger version of Tinker will be accusing you directly of creating terrorism. You should be ashamed. Of course the current version of Tinker won't because of which party is in power.
