Interesting stuff ALI
I could hear a lot of familiar modalism going on in the voices there, even though I couldn't understand the words at all.
Got me thinking about ouds and lutes and scales and modes and riddims, and about how Arab music may be quite influenced by the Persian, and in turn not just Spanish, but Celtic, and British retromodern...
(sound's not so hot - lots of compression artifacts)
(speaking of hot...)
