Libya lacks the sectarian and ethnic divisions that plague Iraq. There won't be a civil war after Gaddafi.

As for tribal divisions, many tribes are fighting against Gaddafi, and the rebels have treated prisoners very well.

There's no reason to expect bloody retribution.
