if your the sorta person that cant squabble with businessmen, you are also the sort of person that cant squabble with government officials - polite and meek sorts get crushed in all systems all the time... if your deluded as to otherwise you are deluded.

i prefer the line in the sand that allows for the most variations in squabbling choices - because i cant tell the difference between hitler and stalin and i cant tell the difference between an international corporate and a government department... spent time in both, ran screaming from both.

i dont agree with mr p that the republicans are any different to the democracts, but i do agree with much of what he says despite that.

been such a long time since any of the gop/liberal parties actually paid anything more than lip service to maintaining competition and small business, its all about choosing between their club of totalitarian corporates versus the democrat/labour club of totalitarian uni snobs and union officials.

the silly creators figured people had families and churches and stuff which grounded them and provided morality - as such in a multicultural and inclusive system it was not capitalisms place to provide such things, it is a tool for those with those things to interact despite the fact they dont share beliefs and priorities.

of course the people that refuse any of the existing collectives because they all suck are demanding capitalism provide everyone with *their* beliefs and morality *twitch*

luckily, its a protestant religion this moral capitalism one and it will suffer the fragmentation of all the protestant religions, once you get away from the wishy washy shared memes that dont mean much.

if i want to keep cool in amongst evangelicals im forced to do a bit of "lub jeebus", when amongst progressives i just need todo a bit of "hatez capitalism" .. luckily my twisted little head full of takiya is used to such things and i can carry on being me no matter what wishy washy statements are required for group nodding.
