Very interesting. I can't make any head or tails until the early Jurassic. Pity the authors didn't identify the dry bits of land of early periods with present day continents.

The regional maps have an overlay showing present-day boundaries of continents, countries, states, provinces. In some particularly complicated places, like the northwestern-most portion of North America, the components of what make up the present-day landmass are accumulations from dozens of so-called tectonic terranes, typically island chains like present day Hawaii, which have accreted to the continental plate.
