Spengler is pathetic. The US has a very simple solution to most its problems, which is withdrawing from all bases abroad, stopping fighting everywhere in the world, and negotiate in good faith with all countries in the world. The US is far too strong to be ever attacked by anyone, so it can afford being peaceful. But I guess such a thought is too big for Spengler's small mind...

I'm glad to see that David is as popular as ever with this crowd. I was waiting for the right essay to post here and it looks like I found one all of you disagree with. I still find a lot of his writing very compelling, time will tell if he is correct or not and that is not up to me to judge.

I'm agnostic on this subject, though the fact that Azari saw fit to respond the way he did makes me suspicious that there must be at least some truth to what Spengler says.
