Abolish the Fed and replace it with what? 1913 was the beginning of the end? That's a long wind-down indeed -- almost as long as the entire history of the United States prior to it. Don't forget this period also encompassed the greatest economic growth and developed the world has ever seen...

If the machinations of the Fed lead to a oval crash and possibly a huge war of unknown severity ( a distinct possibility ), then its existence will be remembered as just another American scam.
At the very least , an audit would lay bare the free fortunes that the FOO ( friends of Obama ) have been given.

China is finally set to become the market they always knew it could be . It was the worst possible time to have an American administration bent on pro union domestic favoritism come to power , precisely as he intended to float unheard of levels of debt .
Why ,yes , I am speaking in past tense, as in already happened . They bet that nothing would replace the dollar . By the looks of it , they are in the process of losing that bet as we speak . Now , where was that link to Rosetta Stone ...

Considering the ultra-low level of inflation and high level of unemployment, we don't have to worry about bond yields as long as the Fed doesn't lose its nerve.
The greater risk isn't that the Fed doesn't buy too few Treasuries, it's that it won't buy enough.
There should be a QE3, the bigger the better. Another $900B (to cover the tax cut bill) would be a good start.
