I'm just so fascinated that you have no apparent knowledge of this, and how this could be. Particularly from someone who so doggedly wants to take the politics out of serious issues.

Obscure of course, is relative and subject to opinion, and there isn't one article, there are many. All easily searchable with this thing called google.

Yes I may have brought it up. I may have. But it has an answer regardless of who brought it up, and it is political.

People who believe in MMGW, the fundamentalists, all tell me that we have to cut emissions by 50%. Over the last several years global public opinion polls show belief in MMGW at levels of 75%. Somewhere in there. Whenever I started questioning MMGW some years ago I was always met with the retort that 75% of the people believe in MMGW. This was apparently important then (it was repeated to the point of naseum), so I imagine it is important now.

So anyone can cut their emissions voluntarily. I can, you can. But nobody is. Hardly anybody that is. Certainly not MMGW fundamentalists like Nancy Pelosi and Brock Obama. They are certainly not cutting emissions voluntarily. Nancy Pelosi increased her personal military jet use and Obams recently embarked on an India trip that may be the largest carbon emitting event due to a single person in human history.

So the people that believe in MMGW actually don't believe in it. And they are spending their time trying to get their public belief number from 75% to 80% for God knows what reason, instead spending their energy conserving energy and therefore CO2 transmissions. As if getting the public belief number from 75% to 80% would magically convince people start volununtarily reduce their ejaculations of CO2. Particularly when getting human beings to believe in anything at 75% levels is nearly impossible, your PR is already overachieving.

Just like AIDS, a disease that can be eliminated almost completely on a volunatry basis, you have to really try to get AIDS, the MMGW epidemic can be eliminated completely by voluntary actions of the MMGW discipleship. If you all would just cut your emissions by 50% the problem would apparently be solved, according to the fundamentalists own words. And of course you aren't doing it, so there is nothing to be taken seriously in the whole mess. You're trying to convince non-believers to do what the believers won't do themselves.

Per the "science", was debated to death at great technical depth for years at the other forum, you are starting this off in the kiddie pool. If you actually want to do that let us know and we can direct you to the appropriate threads, will save everyone loads and loads of repetition. As I said earlier, I am in it purely for entertainment and pot shotting at my leisure.
