Weird Weather

We are experiencing record low temperatures for November, got down to -18C in mid Wales last night, apparently. For the Colonel's benefit, it will of course be blamed on global warming
Took this photo earlier today of autumn colours still on the trees - next to a frozen lake.

They say this will be a cold winter ..
Vancouver was - 12 C overnight a few days ago .. went for daily walk, bitter cold .. have not experienced such cold for long long time ..

So far so good here. Just below zero, snow, slippery. 800km traffic jams. Bicycle paths get slippery as well. Tomorrow I'll go jogging to work, nice forest track with the trolls, wood elves and foxes spying.

Yes, we had about 20cms of snow here last week, but today it's gone back to English winter normal - mild, grey, dark and damp. Rivers of melting slush everywhere.

We are scarcely warmer than Houston. Had to abort an outdoor school day/ dog run due to the fact that a significant wind made 48 F seem considerably colder. This is Florida ; we never abort due to inclement weather other than hurricanes. And then , maybe.
