This thread is for NFL discussion and prediction (betting). This upcoming season, I am targeting San Diego heavily on and the Jets heavily off. I'll have much more in the days before the season starts.

I am a Eagles fan and am looking for them to be an 11 win team and quarter- to semi-finalist this year. Any better would take a great stroke of luck.

I think that the Green Bay Packers could repeat. Otherwise, watch out for the Patriots. San Diego could be interesting this year.

Bengals will win 14 games, and get to the Super Bowl, and crush the Cowboys.

In this reality, I want Chargers Vs. Falcons, but I fear another boring Steelers Vs. Saints, with the Steelers pulling one last SB win out of the Big Ben era.

I have to go away to a wedding this weekend, but I have a ton of analysis about this upcoming season to post after I come back before Thursday. I would probably lay off the New Orleans @ Green Bay (-4) game that night, but if I had to pick right now, I'd take New Orleans, because four points seems short for a defending Super Bowl champ to be laying at home in the first game of the year, regardless of opponent.

One last thing for now: Week 1 has eight division games and only two non-conference games. Should be excellent.

The line moved from 4 to 4.5, but I'm still not buying the Packers tonight. Both of these teams are really good, but New Orleans has a decided advantage in coaching--Green Bay wins in spite of their head coach because Aaron Rodgers is incredible. This should be a field goal game--a large win for either team would be a stunner.

I got my shit pushed in this week: 5-11 ATS. It was a combination of unusual results and bad luck, plus two bad picks: Colts +9 and Falcons -1. My five wins beat the the spread by 107.5 points; the eleven losses were by 85 points, a nice margin on my side, for pride and nothing else, but things bounce back and even out, so I'm not too worried about it unless I stink up the joint again in the next two weeks. No division games in Week 2, with lots of junk, to see which teams MIGHT be good.
