This day is like the twilight zone of twilight zones. You tell people salesmen are in it for the money and it's like you molested somebody's kid.

On the sliding scale of sociopathic success, I am more towards Mr. Perfect's end of the asylum. In my experience, I found there are plenty of people that I don't have an iota of empathy or feel warmth about, who are convinced I am made of honey-coated mana from heaven. The most successful partners in my firm are about as sociopathic as one can be while still remaining lawful. They care about little else than winning. How caring people think you are is not always related to how caring you are.

And what's bad about it? Who gets up in the morning and needs a hug from a sales guy?

I will continue to give every single person exactly one chance to screw me over. I always believe the best about people until they give me a reason otherwise, for I desire the same of them.

I feel that this attitude tends to attract like-minded people towards me. For example, in the five years I have worked at my current business, I have had NO bad checks out of thousands of transactions.
