My brother was stationed in England for four years, his youngest was born there. He loved it weather included( raised in FL), went the whole nine yards. He put in rose bushes in the garden, started drinking tea for a few weeks (Marines need more octane, apparently, because he went back to being a disciple of Juan Valdez). He thought of retiring back to the area around the RAF base where he was stationed, but that was before 9/11 and the contractor culture of the MidAtlantic.
His Ford Bronco was a massive hit among the Chavs. After seeing a real 4wd, with shitty gas mileage, 255 series tires and plasticky dash, they all understood the power of the monster truck rally, so beloved of their cultural counterparts across the pond.
Don't know what it is, but I'm agin'it.
