Any interest in a Multi-Blog?

One of the things I wanted to setup on this site is a Joomla Multi-Blog.

Would anyone be willing to commit to one essay per week to provide content?

Colonel Sun would be great for a Science digest type article letting us know what's going on. Azariloveiran could tell us about what's going on in Iran. Just for examples. If we had Sennacherib he could do a weekly Afghanistan break-down. That sort of thing.

Basically what I'd want is well-written original content. Something with a little more thought than your average forum post.

This would be different from the forum in that it would be a public facing periodical.

My missus, who has scoliosis, is dead keen on me becoming an osteopath - had much to do with that ?

Well an osteopath is a bit more advanced than what I do, in terms of the degree. I don't know much about osteopathy to be honest, I don't know any osteopaths. One of my best friends is a Chiropractor, I know a bit more about that.

I have been thinking about starting a Body-Working website. There seems to be a lack of a centralized repository of such information.

I might get into a cognitive neuro program if it's possible. I think I can write a persuasive essay as to why I think I'd be good for it based on what I want to do with massage therapy.

I think I'd have to exercise some editorial control over Azari. No villifying other groups in your public facing essays. And I'll put a disclaimer that the author alone is responsible for their views, that our interest is in sparking debate and showing things from different viewpoints than we might normally be exposed to. Because I DEFINITELY do not agree with a lot of Azari's views on Israel. But I like getting exposed to the Iranian viewpoint.

Weekends will be a bit of a fluke for me, but I actually have little interest in posting on a variety of forum threads any more, though I am sure it will happen somewhat . I can hardly pass up an opportunity to do something funny . Mostly time constraints are creating a change in my general writing habits. But I was indeed thinking of condensing my time spent in semantogenesis into more essay-like form and doing it less often . Greater density, less frequency .

I am four lives into nine allowed , and I probably ought to start collating this gobbledygook .

Are video blogs possible on Joomla? I have to look into how quick I can do them, but I'd be interested in that.

I have no idea how to do this sort of thing from a technical perspective . I would need to get at least nine thousand??? seconds instruction .

Joomla is a web content management system. You can install many modules. Either I'd need help with building it or people would have to be patient while I puzzled through it. I know Drupal better than I know Joomla, but Joomla does a nice multi-blog format right out of the box, whereas Drupal's is a bit clunkier out of the box. A vlog would just be a matter of embedding videos. As Sparky wanted to do, but I need to figure out how to upgrade the forum to PHPBB3.

First and foremost, any cool shit we install on this site needs to be a collaborative effort, because that's what motivates me and gets my juices flowing.

Demon In terms of a multi-blog, it'd work similarly to the way the forum works. You wouldn't need a greater degree of technical knowledge than you have now really.
