....too many instances to count, including the most recent when I was booted in the afternoon only to have the powers reopen my tornado account and deny that I had been booted.....the irony: I almost surely have been expelled more than anyone and now I have two accounts and little desire to use either......

I got suspended once for correctly guessing where Spengler and she who shall not be named lived.

I got banned the last time because I spoke out about the secret moderation publicly and one of the rules there was to not talk about moderation publicly. I kept doing it so I was banned. I confess I played a game of brinksmanship, but ultimately it worked.

armchair_pundit is a serious authoritarian. His Libertarian pretensions do not jive with how he actually acts. Having a private convo with him is a sure way to get banned.

My banning was supposed to be lifted but I think I got perma-banned for starting this forum under the idea that people can only post to one forum or the other.

Armchair Pundit is among my better friends from spengler and our private conversation was cordial. We were catching up on things. He called me out publicly in the forum for being obnoxious, which I have done deliberately for some time now -- so he was not wrong to call me out. He has not been a moderator there for a long time, and I suspect my banning had to do with giving it to Booklady and Doc pretty hard and nasty when they accused me of lying about being banned a couple of weeks ago.

Banning makes no sense to me unless someone is posting something illegal that could get the website owner in trouble.
