Congratulations to him. I read a few of his poems. No doubt they're better in the original Swedish than in English translation.

I'm sure. Poetry tends to be hard to translate without losing the music and subtlety of it.
I've heard that Matsuo BashÅ is incredible in Japanese.
furu ike ya / kawazu tobikomu / mizu no oto
an ancient pond / a frog jumps in / the splash of water
iza saraba / yukimi ni korobu / tokoromade
now then, let's go out / to enjoy the snow... until / I slip and fall!
tabi ni yande / yume wa kareno wo / kake meguru
falling sick on a journey / my dream goes wandering / over a field of dried grass
