Not just baby boomers. Every mashup I have ever heard sounds like two tracks playing at the same time, which is something that used to get a radio DJ fired , not lauded.

Just listened to a raft if Bollywood music with my oldest and youngest. I explained that , if one were to be able to speak Mandarin, Hindi, English and Spanish , they would be able to speak to very nearly the whole world. The oldest was blown away. The youngest got hold of one of my ballpoint pens and I'm pretty sure she tried to write " Jersey sucks" on the computer desk. Don't know why.

If you want to see a great American rock band ,they also play some good Mexican style music as well, go see Los Lobos. You will want to bring ear plugs cause they turn it up to 11. One of the all time great American rock bands with a depth matched by few.
They're in Osaka and Tokyo next month.
If you can't win by reason, go for volume
