Is this a choice based off demographic increase of Latino children? I'll keep an open mind. Miles is a terrible replacement name.
If you can't win by reason, go for volume

The canary didn't die because this mine is dangerous, it died because it's lazy and wasn't raised with a proper work ethic.

They wanna diversify their characters; fine...
But don't replace the old. I give a hoot what 'color' the character is, but this is not the right way to go about it.
Besides, most super heroes gained their powers by a unique circumstance (save for Batman and the like). How did Miles get his? The whole thing is cheesy from a comic perspective.
What's next? Green Turban... With a crescent.

No doubt this feels focus groupish . If I recall one of the more popular Spiderman artist' was a Latino fella.
