Something I want from this forum is for it to have an academic and collegial atmosphere. One of the things I've found on message boards is that often people are not interested in teaching the basics to people who haven't fully formulated a working knowledge of the basics of a particular argument. So I'd like to start a discussion of how we can engender a culture where we help to educate each other and anyone who comes by?

Just putting links in a post helps, but few are willing to take even that little bit of time.

Links to good sources are important, but even Wikipedia links are an improvement.
