Ansuchin I always saw it as a quasi-Hindu concept. The Atman or uber-soul is the essential being that underlies all life and consciousness. Any physical manifestation is like a cell in the body. And Christianity as such is a subset of that. The body of Christ being every single person. By transubstantiation the Christian becomes a part of the body of Christ, his hands, his feet so to speak. And when that individual dies, it is the larger body, the uber-soul, or the Christ that goes on, and the only promise he makes to the individual beings on Earth, is that he will remember, always.
