Yet another of those unintended consequences of the oppressed third world of Assmackinjihad of Iran or whatever gaining ascendency . The interpersonal moral realm goes back to the dark ages .

That makes no sense whatsoever, Tinker. The clause about homosexuals was removed because some people don't like homosexuals and don't want to overturn laws that single them out for punishment. This is a very, very bad thing. You're approaching this from a high-minded, detached, philosophical point of view, assuming that the people in question think like you do.

The parties that got this done must indeed hate GLBT in order to care what this feckless talking shop says.
This is a step backward, if only, and probably only, because it shows just how far they were willing to go and how far the other weren't in order to stop them.
