Poor Burma, it has had a horrible history ever since independence. Let's hope that things will move forward.

If there was ever a regime that deserved to be run out of town, after being drawn and quartered, then the Burmese military dictatorship is it.
Unfortunately for Burma, it does not appear to have much of what the industrialized worlds needs, aside from semi-precious blood stones, some gas reserves, and rice
so aside from the remarkable Aung Sang Suu Kyi the country is regretfully mostly forgotten.

A true tragedy. Burma went from being the 2nd richest country in SE Asia,to the poorest.
Another central planning failure.
