Well I'm wondering if any Europeans here have a better feel for what's going on over there. Italy was recently downgraded, things like that, but the info coming through the US financial markets look terrible. I certainly hope this material is wildly off base.

not expecting a zombie apocalypse but a shitload of suffering and loss of homes and probably a riot or 2.
also, the usa and europe have been pretty dead on the world market for a while now - the devil without much detail is exactly whats going on in china and just how serious their corrupt spending has gotten - they have had 3 or so straight months of decline aswell which doesnt bode well.

My father lived through the Depression, and everybody in his town survived off their garden. A nasty bump and we are in Depression era unemployment numbers.

What I find interesting that these apocalyptic economic depression scenarios have moved from the fringe [Doug Noland] and become part of mainstream memes.
If I were to homestead, that's how I would probably proceed,
suspending a set of insulated containers from an rigid external I-beam frame so that they can swing freely . . . with an additional damping mechanism . . .
