If you do not understand that this is bigger in scale than Tahrir Square, then you just don't get it.
Tahrir Square was Egypt's Tahrir Square moment.
Wall Street is the entire world's Tahrir Square moment.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... z1ZInwvzqQSparky You can see about 150 people in this photograph alone. And this is just one moment in what has been going on for nearly two weeks now. Still find it hard to believe that it's been tens of thousands? The big march is on Saturday.

What an awesome photo, Tinker. Love the shadows on those faces - The uniforms and the formation really make it epic.
So these pilots were out in force in the same area as the #occupywallstreet protests? I recall hearing about how their pay, especially for entry level, has been decreasing. Pilots on food stamps were featured on a PBS Frontline documentary on US passenger airline business. Interesting how much more powerful this imagery is than - well, what's in the public's imagination about protesters.
Tinker, is there active mockery/antagonism between people unsympathetic to the protesters? I've heard about people sipping champagne from heights overlooking the gatherings. I felt that however widespread that phenomenon is, it'd tell us something about how wide the gaps in equalities have hollowed out our sense of shared anything - culture, society, economy etc.

the media only realized it's a real story like two days ago. That's why.
After this weekend it will be in 30 cities across the country. I am talking to people organizing Nashville, Chicago, Phoenix, and Denver.

Media reporting isn't commensurate with the scale of the event. They've dismissed it already as just an ordinary protest made up mostly of college students. Therefore, it will have no impact. In Egypt, there were cases of news reporters at the state-run news channel resigning (IIRC) publicly in protest over the initial news blackout there, and that was a big deal.

Okay, someone needs to put down the crack pipe.
A Stinger- or ten Stingers - will not in any way stop an airliner from crashing into a building. It will disable an engine ( a single one), but if the thing is low enough to be terminal into Manhattan? They are flipping boogers at a freight train.
Oh, and nobody has shot at our troops with a Stinger. I love it when the dopes and fraidy cats get hold of something military.

Yeah, these are the same people that got us into Libya by talking about all the poor dead people. I ain't buying it.
At any rate, these missiles aren't necessarily much of a threat, assuming they actually exist. They have to be very well taken care of, they have to be used properly, and they don't blow aircraft out of the sky, that's not their use. It's bad, but then again I mostly no longer care. Blow shit up all you want.

A few former Marines ( veterans) on Reddit are saying they are flying in to take part in the protests tomorrow, one says he will be wearing dress blues. This should get them arrested later if not sooner.
