Mr. P, are you aware of the role played by Addington and Yoo? One of their most important responsibilities was to craft spaces for torture out of legal ambiguities and executive power.

Yoo has said this much on the Daily Show, and many other outlets. Addington's testimony to Congress seemed pretty damning, from what I recall. His and Yoo's role isn't unclear, even if they couch what they did in very legalistic terms. We aren't talking about corporate law. We're talking about what bureaucratic dance was done in the service of torture.
