Black Hawk Down, does it matter?

http://www.newjerseynewsroom.com/scienc ... tani-handsSo in the raid on Bin Laden a stealth version of a Black Hawk went down and at least parts of it are in Pakistani hands.
I am curious as to whether or not this is important. I wonder how deep the innovation on the chopper went? We know the Chinese already had pieces of the F-117, so that tells us they have probably been working on reverse engineering the stealth skin. Would it be that big of a deal if they started making tail rotors with 6 instead of 4 blades?

So far, it doesn't look like much of a problem. More blades making less noise is common knowledge already and they already have the F-117 wreckage.

I think the Chinese steal most of the top-secret schematics they need directly out of Pentagon computers and officers. They don't need to look at a hunk of wreckage.
The chopper parts are not a big deal.

Azari, you are illiterate. My post clearly states that the Chinese already have the intel. The implication is that they are smart.
I usually don't respond to your shit, but you've just proved yourself unable to understand a single sentence.

Well yes, we understand what's going on. Intel and espionage are big business. Obviously they are stealing everything that they can. But the fact remains it's not just a matter of them having everything that we have, or them having the ability to technically accomplish the things they steal right off the bat.
But yes, Chinese intellectual property theft goes all the way to the top.

I doubt that it matters at all.

China is behind the cutting edge of Europe, Japan and the US... for now. They are catching up so fast we might as well be standing still. Not only have they been training their own people (at home and overseas) but its be shown that you can buy people as well, and they have lots of money to spend.

We have caught Chinese espionage stealing technological secrets on several occasions. I know it happens. But I am certain there are lots of places where we have not been compromised. If China was on top of everything as is being described here then how come the Chinese are still buying high-tech components from America?

I think it ends with China catching up to us in terms of technological capability.

There wil always be a tension between offensive and defensive technologies. Introducing a new weapon is usually the cheapest way to get what you want. It's not that research by the big players will disappear , just that more bit players can afford to get into the game because tech is cheaper.
This stuff , and the stealth fighter , were once held to strategic duties. While it could be argued that this was a strategic op , the fact that they hung it out that far implies a few things ( maybe ). Either they thought it was worth it , or they are fairly certain that nobody else will be able to manufacture and deploy ( as opposed to copy in a lab) the stuff. Both may be mistaken assumptions.
