GC, I never said it was solely Democrat.

But Democrats supported it solidly.

You were leaving that out. Democrats love TARP, it is a natural outgrowth of their philosophy. All of their statements at the time were fully supportive.

The record, the facts show that the GOP defeated TARP the first time it came up for a vote. That is simply a fact GC. You cannot change the facts. To change these facts you would be joining the Stalin history school.

2. You've got their shoes.

Looks like the troll successfully hijacked the thread. I will clean it up later.

The Occupation is less dominated by Marxists than those who have Marxist monomania believe. Many countries have taken money out of elections, such as England. But some people will fight the cold-war decades being its bitter end and are so convinced that its precepts guide everyone's thinking that they cannot imagine it otherwise. The greatest Marxists these days tend to be on the right as they insist that their opposition thinks so highly of Marx because they think so highly of Marx.

There is no more passionate Marxist than an Objectivist.

I don't know man, I remember the hurricane that was suppose to be the worst thing that ever happened on the face of the earth a few weeks back that was largely a lot of rain and sporadic flooding. This whole occupy thing is interesting to an extent but outside of NYC it just isn't very relevant. It's just more pictures of what people expect to see at a protest and images that they can't relate to and arguments that they find obscure. Right now the rest of the country is simply not interested, sorry guys.

Occupy is in a lot of other US cities and now in Australia, while numbers in these other locations are not like NY they may yet grow, or they may not, I guess the coming weeks are the test of the relevance of Occupy and how much it's concerns resonate with people.

I'm sure not sorry, I'm happy. This is the final rattle of leftism in America. Just two years ago they had everything a political movement would ever need, total control of the steering wheel of state with the greatest politician of all time in the executive and 60% control of the congress, near record popularity and a multi-trillion dollar line of spending.

What did they do with it? They promptly got drunk out of their minds and drove into a bridge abutment. They blew their chance by producing zero results, their ideas and beliefs refuted for generations to come.

So all they are left with now is the bottom of the barrel politically, a protest movement when they are still the majority party. They cannot conceive that by protesting while their party is in power they destroy themselves in the most profound way possible.

And when this last gasp effort produces zero results, the left will be dead. Sooner the better.

The fact that you are using the term 'left' to describe Occupy shows the entire point of Occupy has flown straight over your head.

Occupy is in part a protest against the Obama administrations handling of fraudulant practices of Wall st that magnified the bad debt sold by Fannie and Freddie, so Occupy proves that it is leaving the collapsed left/right dichotomy behind.

Further proof of this collapse is the Neo-cons, Trotskyists, were such ardent supporters of Bush.

ps MP, I've already proven to you that Wall st was involved in fraud over the selling of sub-prime on another thread, so I don't intend to revisit that debate.
