I know of a board, and website "blog" being built right now that is losing steam for its original intent but the people building don't want it to go to waste.

Perhaps, if anyone is interested, I can ask them if we can migrate over there.

So it would sorta kill two birds with one stone if you guys took over. The board/website lay-out is almost done and you could move in with more provocative articles and probably run it better than it would've been run anyway.

You'd just have to accept the name already attached

Colonel Sun has generously offered to start a-new and undertake the work so why not make a fresh start in a new space where there is no possibility of clash with preceding 'protocols'.
