I will be the first person here or anywhere to call a white right winger a terrorist. Loughner is not , neither is anybody else who's motivation contains elements of schizophrenia. The definitions of terrorism have not been developed enough to deal with the superempowered individuals. The older definition is vintage gen 3/4 , and assumes dedicated support and ideological networks. Networks squared = full integration of all modes and logistical capacities that make each individual his own cell.
