Removing the Saudi monarchy is one of the main goals of the original al Qaeda gang, and if it does come to revolution in Saudi Arabia I'm quite sure that it will be gleefully violent on both sides.


As for exile, the Saudi princes would head straight for the good ol' USA. They've already bought and paid for it. Maybe a few washing up in Davos. Pakistan is as likely to be "Talibanized" as anything, and such people have a notoriously grim view of the Lamborghini-and-Russian-hooker regimen many of the princes are on. The ones that don't support al Qaeda that is.

In all thread debating Middle East (or even near or Far East), westerners always talk about democracy and freedom (and human rights) ..

But all of you do not consider one point :

Democracy (and freedom and human right) is not an institution or laws .. it is a mindset for population, what they perceive as democracy and freedom and human right

There are very few nations (people) in the world that have democratic mindset or freedom and understand human right ..

Was Europe democratic when Hitler and Franco or Churchill ruled ? ? am not talking about government but the mindset of the people .. do European people have now democratic mindset and know really what human right means ? do Brits have democratic mindset and human right in Cyrus sense (they same imperialist as Queen Victoria)

In essence, Europeans have same mindset they had 1850, adapted to 2011 circumstances ..

Democracy, freedom, human rights are very deep issues .. it must be embedded deep in civilization and in blood, for 1000s of yrs .. can not be legislated and done is it, yes done but in 500 yrs .. Europe is neither democratic, nor free nor human right ..

Arab, north Africans do not have a tradition of democracy and human rights in Cyrus the Persian sense .. those are tribal societies last million yr ..

So, anybody talking about democracy and freedom and human rights in those space, in western sense, either he a fool or a charlatan with an agenda ..

When Germans (still) don't come with a democratic mind how can Arabia ..

Azari I agree with you, and I think American foreign policy reflects that. That's why we support dictators. Most people do not think the ME is ready for Democracy and human rights.
