Whilst I'm certainly not a fan of Al Ron Hubbard, I couldn't care less if people want to believe his "revelations" come from god, etc. etc. - other people's personal religious beliefs are nothing to do with me.

What I find troubling is when these warblings intrude into the real world today, as the basis of legal systems and political movements. Queer apartheid, violence and miserable despotism seem to be what ensues every time - with an intensity matching the Islamicity of the implementation.

These outcomes aren't unique to Islam - a slavish devotion to any dogmatic "Sovereign Remedy to The World's Ills" will do.

Meanwhile, in 'moderate' Indonesia...

A hardline Muslim mob clashed with police and burned two churches in Indonesia Tuesday to protest what they considered a too-lenient sentence given a Christian for blaspheming against Islam.

The Christian, 58-year-old Antonius Bawengan, was given the maximum five-year sentence Tuesday on charges of distributing books and literature that allegedly spread hatred about Islam.

But a crowd estimated at more than 1,000 people attacked police with stones outside the courthouse in central Java, saying the man should have received a death penalty. The mob then set two churches on fire, burning the roofs, and damaged a third.

A day earlier, international human rights and religious rights groups demanded that Indonesia investigate a brutal attack Sunday on members of the Ahmadiyah Islamic sect.

Israel's Ultra-Orthodox Jews Attack Christian Communities


JERUSALEM (Compass) -- A succession of attacks against Christians and Messianic Jews by ultra-orthodox mobs has prompted local church leaders to call for better government protection for Israel's Christian community. ....

In a November 28 incident in the Negev town of Beersheva, rumors were spread in synagogues that Messianic Jews planned to baptize Jewish children. A mob estimated by police to number 1,000 "haredim" (ultra-orthodox) Jews started to surround a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church rented by the local congregation of Messianic Jews for their Shabbat (Sabbath) gathering.

The 40 believers already inside the building could not get out, forcing police to evacuate them and provide protection from the crowd. Others who were still outside were blocked from entering. According to members of the congregation, they were pelted with stones, spit at and many of their cars damaged. Angry demonstrators also attempted to climb the wall surrounding the building.......



Last month ultra-orthodox Jews set afire the home of a boy in Jerusalem who, according to press reports, had turned away from an ultra-orthodox lifestyle and become secular.....

On November 11, another ultra-orthodox mob attacked the home of three Swiss Christian women in the conservative Mea Shearim neighborhood in Jerusalem, totally smashing their belongings. Only one of the three women was home at the time of the attack, and she had to be escorted to safety by police under a barrage of stones and bottles. Ultra-orthodox sources accused the women of missionizing, a claim the women denied.....


The Israeli newspaper "Ha'Aretz" reported on November 29 that an American couple in Kiryat Malachi was attacked recently by ultra-orthodox youths, who suspected the couple of missionary work. The couple held that they were only involved in humanitarian work among Ethiopian immigrants......

Middle East is not for missionaries ..

Missionaries should go to African jungle converting dancingly the Mau-Mau tribe .. or to Amazon jungle ..

Why is Middle East not for missionary ?

Because the Middle Eastern people INVENTED that stuff and do take it badly others coming telling them which way to bend ..

In Middle East, all those religions (and some more) have lived in peace for 1000s of yrs ..

But , conversion .. NO NO

You are born into that stuff.


Much is said, by people who don't know what they talking (swallowing Western PR garbage) about Bahai discrimination in Iran ..

Many university Bahai professors, students and businessman in Iran .. everybody knows their Bahai compatriots, same as they know Jewish and Armenian and Zoroastrians ..

No problemo whatsoever ..

But ..

There is no missionary work or conversion allowed ..

Jews live as Jews .. same with Armenians and Zoroastrian .. they do not do missionary work or convert anybody to Judaism or Gregorian Armenian , neither Zoroastrians ..

But ..

Bahai , consider missionary and conversion a duty ..

And that is when things hit the fan ..


As said B4 .. missionary, conversion AND Middle East do not mix ..

While not specifically relevant to the subject of "Islamophobia," the ultra-orthadox Israelis are a major thorn in the side of the rest of Israeli society, and one that is set to grow. Their excesses need to be legally curbed now or they will make more trouble for Israel in the future.
